Answer:

We accept Cash,Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.

Question?
I'll just make an insurance claim with my phone carrier?

Answer:
First you are going to have to have to pay your insurance deductible, which can cost anywhere from $120-$175 depending on your phone carrier. After paying that deductible, you now have to send your phone in for repairs, so now your left with no phone, so many people often use a loaner or old phone. Then second problem with the insurance claim is you will be receiving a refurbished phone. Refurbished phones often have more technical issues than your original phone. The third problem many phone carriers only allow one claim per year, so save your insurance claim for the major problems like, a lost or stolen phone, a severely damaged phone or water damage issues. The fourth and biggest problem is all your photographs, contacts, accounts, personal data including bank information, credit card information, from your phone are now at some third party repair shop. Plus your original phone will be sold to another customer. So weigh your cost and consider the issues we explained, the majority will find that DC LifeTech is the better option.

Question?

Will a repair by DC LifeTech void a device manufacture warranty?

Answer:

All manufactures warranty their parts and labor. So, all damage caused by the customer voids a manufacture's warranty (i.e. liquid damage, broken glass or LCD, broken charging ports ect.) All these damages void a manufacturer's warranty.

However, if the damage is caused by malfunctions of original parts, software, etc. then yes, attempts to repair the device will void a manufactures warranty. If we feel that the device is broken because of these malfunctions that they didn't cause, we will recommend that the customer take the device back to the dealer that sold them the device. DC LifeTech will not attempt to repair a device that appears to be damaged under a warranty until the customer first advises us that they already attempted to repair the device under the warranty and the repair was refused by manufacturer or carrier.

Question?

My glass is the only thing that is damaged (not the LCD) will the repair be discounted?

Answer:

When DC LifeTech repairs your phone we replace the entire front of you phone. The glass (the part that you touch) called the digitizer (the touch sensitive layer) and the LCD (the part that displays the image are glued together making it all one assembly. We do not preform "glass only" repairs as we only use high quality display assemblies. If you are considering using a repair shop that promises to just replace the glass DON'T DO IT!!  It looks terrible and you will be extremely dissatisfied.

Question?

What should I do if my phone has liquid or water damage?

Answer:

Take out the battery if possible in certain models of phones, you will not be able to remove the battery from your iPhone, iPad or iPod. Second, we know this may be hard but.... DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT attempt to turn the device on. If the device is turned on it will short out the motherboard, if power is applied through the circuits of a water-logged phone. Contact DC LifeTech as quickly as possible. We can't guarantee that we will be able to repair you device, but we will do everything possible with our state of the art equipment to repair your water-damaged devices. The sooner you get your device to DC LifeTech the higher chances you have on having it back and working.

Questions?

Can DC LifeTech backup data on my device?

Answer:

DC LifeTech does not back up any data or information on your device. It is recommended to have your device backup prior to any repair work. DC LifeTech is not responsible for any data loss due to the repair process.

Question?

Can you unlock my iPhone, iPad or iPad?

Answer:

We do not do any attempts at unlocking any devices, because many times these devices are locked because they are lost or stolen. If you find an Apple product, DC LifeTech would work with you to locate the owner at no charge.

Question?

I need to get my phone repaired, but the cost of the repair is more than what I paid for the phone. Why is that?

Answer:

Your service provider will subsidize the cost of the phone to get you to sign a two year contract, as this is how they generate long term revenue. However, the retail cost of the phone without a contract is considerably higher, many newer phones can cost as much as $700 without a contract. In this case, the cost of the repair becomes significantly less then paying retail price for a new phone.

Question?

I would like to fix my device myself. Do you sell the parts and tools?

Answer:

Considering the fact that a device assembly and or disassembly is not a simple task, as many small parts can be broken easily causing more damage, so we highly advise against it. However we do understand that an individual might be skilled in such procedures and as long as you understand the risks, we see no harm in providing you with the parts, and if available the tools. We will not be able to provide any warranty to the parts if you choose to repair the device yourself. If you run into any problems or damage the phone worse we will be there to help you.

Question?

Are your parts original Apple or OEM?

Answer:

Apple inc. does not manufacture any parts. They are only a design and engineering company. The parts that Apple uses in their devices are bought from Chinese Vendors and assembled in China. Many of the parts come from the similar vendors. At DC LifeTech we use a quality, original replacement parts that are subject to stringent quality control testing. Unlike many online suppliers our replacement parts are 100% brand new and original. We DO NOT sell or use any refurbished parts. So though we cannot claim that our parts are "from apple" they are manufactured to the same strict OEM specifications. All replacement parts come with a 30 day warranty.
